TN Visa Approval for Physical Therapist - Former F-1 Student

TN VisaCase Info.
Background:Citizen of Canada. The applicant was a recent F-1 student graduate working as a Physical Therapist under his Optional Practical Training (OPT). At the conclusion of his 1-year OPT, he planned to apply for TN visa status. However, he had not yet obtained his Health Care Worker Certificate/Visa Screen, which is required for Physical Therapists to obtain a temporary worker visa. After our office informed him of this requirement, the applicant applied for his Visa Screen. He was required to stop working once his OPT expired, but could remain in the U.S. during the 60-day grace period as he waited for his Visa Screen. Once this was received, we assisted him with applying for his TN visa status.
